About Us

Our Story

Humming Home Services (formerly known as Cherubs in the Home QLD) started in 2018 in Brisbane, in partnership with the Melbourne-based Cherubs in the Home. We’re a family-owned business with a big heart and focus on our values and company culture.

As a start-up, we were hungry for feedback from our lovely clients. We quickly learnt that no two homes are the same, and that we needed to understand each client and provide flexibility in our services. That is what we aim to do.

By treating people as individuals, and committing to getting to know and understand each other, we’re better able to deliver services that meet the needs of each household. This is what we do, with our values – Kindness, Safety, Integrity and Communication – guiding us along the way.

To us, learning never ends, and there is always opportunity to improve. By building on our education, experience and feedback, we continue to do and be better.

We envision that all people can feel proud and safe in their home, living in an environment that empowers them to be at their best.

Our Office Team

Erika

Admin Officer

Erika is our ever-enthusiastic Administration Officer and she joined our team in 2020. With broad experience working in both hospital and private practice settings, Erika has a strong interest in customer service, and clients and their well-being. She loves coming to work, as she feels she’s making a positive difference in other people’s lives.

Originally from South Africa, Erika and her family made Australia their home in 2008. In her spare time, Erika enjoys baking, walking, and spending time with her family and two staffies.

'AJ' Angelica June

Admin Officer

AJ joined our team in 2023, with considerable experience in customer service. She is a superstar admin officer, supporting our clients with her kindness, warmth and consideration. In particular, she finds great fulfillment working in the care industries. 
In her personal life, AJ is devoted to her family, and two adorable fur babies. She finds peace and joy in nature, and enjoys challenging herself mentally and physically by running half marathons. You’ll usually find her either enjoying time with her family, helping stray animals, or finding calm by the sea.

Sophia

Recruitment Officer

Sophia is our talent finder. She joined us in 2022, and she is dedicated to finding kind and caring people to join our team of cleaners and gardeners.  Sophia has worked with NDIS registered providers for a number of years, with an extensive customer service background. She loves building relationships with clients and coworkers and is always happy to help! 
 
In her spare time, you’ll find Sophia spending time with her family, watching Christmas movies (no matter the month) or whipping up a mean batch of Greek olive bread

Rachel

Accounts

Rachel is our numbers lady. Joining the team in 2024, she transitioned from data analyst to bookkeeper, bringing, meticulous attention to detail and a genuine passion for numbers. Her enthusiasm for numbers and analytical skills ensure accurate and efficient financial management, which helps our team make informed decisions and assist you well.
Beyond her work, she finds joy spending quality time with her family. Whether it’s movie nights, reading with her son, experimenting with a new recipe, or simply cleaning the home, these moments enrich her life and keep her grounded.

Nikki

Owner/Director

Nikki and Joaquin (Jack) are the owners/directors of Humming Home Services. They started the business in 2018, trading as Cherubs in the Home QLD, with Nikki cleaning and Jack gardening.

We are so grateful to now have a wonderful team of caring people around us, in our office and out in the community – we couldn’t do what we do without them.

Nikki comes from a varied background, from massage therapist to aged-care worker and English language teacher. She has a degree in International Studies and loves learning about cultures and languages. Nikki also loves to bake and reading books to their two young children.

Joaquin ‘Jack’

Owner/Director

Originally from Argentina, Jack made Australia home in 2013. He has a background in Tourism Management and loves spreadsheets!

He’s seen the changes we can all bring when working for the community and finds every day of work very rewarding.

He’s a real ‘Jack’ of all trades and loves using his skills to make a difference to others. But when he’s not working, you’ll find him with his family, cooking an asado (BBQ), or learning something new.
